We are honored to receive funding from the OSU College of Agricultural Sciences Global Seed Grant to support our research on the environmental and health impacts of illegal mining (Galamsey) in Ghana. This crucial funding enables us to investigate pollution pathways, assess their effects on human and animal health, and apply zebrafish models to test toxicity levels.
Our collaboration between Oregon State University’s Sinnhuber Aquatic Research Laboratory and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology would not be possible without this generous support. The Global Seed Grant fosters international partnerships that drive impactful, evidence-based research, and we are deeply grateful for this opportunity.
We extend our sincere thanks to the College of Agricultural Sciences for their commitment to advancing global scientific initiatives. Their support is instrumental in helping us address critical environmental and public health challenges.
